We are thrilled to invite you to an engaging online and free event this Wednesday, October 3rd, at 17:00 European time (09:00 AM MDT). This session will feature two distinguished speakers: Emilie Briggs and Hugo van Belois. Emilie will revisit her insightful presentation from the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) conference, and Hugo will share his extensive experience in odour nuisance management in the Netherlands.
Emilie Briggs, from the Wood Buffalo Environmental Association (WBEA), will discuss the Community Odour Monitoring Program (COMP). Her talk will highlight how the WBEA’s combination of citizen science and odour monitoring has successfully gathered valuable data on air quality in the Athabasca Oil Sands Region. Emilie will cover the network of ambient air monitoring stations, the trends observed in odour data from 2018 to 2022, and the predictive models used to identify odour sources.

The last time we know of was in 2013 when the 5th IWA Conference and the 10th Biofiltration Conference took place in San Francisco.
