The international conference NOSE 2026 has concluded its latest edition with very positive feedback, confirming its position as a leading event in the field of odour monitoring and control, as well as volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Held from July 6 to 8, 2026, in Bologna (Italy), the event brought together experts from both academia and industry in an environment defined by technical exchange and collaboration.
This tenth edition was particularly meaningful. The organizers recognized the loyalty of the NOSE community by presenting awards to gold and platinum attendees who have participated in nine and ten editions of the conference, highlighting the continuity and commitment of professionals who have supported the event over the years.
The program maintained its usual technical focus, including plenary lectures, oral presentations, and poster sessions, with a poster competition that encouraged researcher participation and increased the visibility of emerging work in odor management.
As in previous editions, the papers presented will be published in Chemical Engineering Transactions, further strengthening the conference's scientific impact and its connection with the international research community.
Beyond the technical content, NOSE 2026 once again proved to be an excellent opportunity to reconnect with longtime colleagues and build new professional relationships, reinforcing a growing, well-established community in the field of odor science and control.
Looking ahead, participants are already eager to attend the next edition, scheduled for 2028, when the conference will hold its 11th edition in a new Italian city yet to be announced.
