The Seminar on Environmental Odour Management is Chile's first ever organized at an international level. This 2-days seminar will take place in the beautiful city of Santiago in Chile.

As an independent technical organization, olores.org helps to disseminate the information about odour management in the environment and this time we count on the official support of the Environmental Ministry of Chile and with the help of the Chilean company Ecometrika.

calpuff odors courseThis time, olores.org organized the first specialist course on odour emission modelling with CALPUFF in collaboration with the Principal Scientist of Exponent Inc, Joseph Scire and the independent odour modeling specialist Jennifer Barclay. The course took place  the 22-25 October 2013 in Madrid, Spain and it consisted of a CALPUFF part developed along the first 3 days and an ODOUR part in the last day.

    In the CALMET part, basic concepts such as the selection of the proper parameters TERRAD, RMAX1, RMAX2, R1, R2, BIAS and IEXTRP were widely discussed. In addition, the balance in the use of prognostic data (MM5, WRF, etc.) and observed data was commented.
