sesion06 ramos05   The aim of this work is to present a system to monitor odour incidents to detect odour sources in industrial areas that can cause an odour impact in residential neighbourhoods.

The area of this study is located between two very important spots of chemical Industrial areas in the port of Tarragona, in the northeast of Spain. Nearby these two industrial areas there are 3 fire stations. In this study, the firemen were trained to perform odour field inspections by means of an android app. In addition, the odour performance of the odour inspectors was also evaluated.

sesion05 almarcha02   The odor emissions from environmental facilities (composting plants, EDARs, rendering…) are a frequent cause of nuisance in their surroundings which are given ever increasing attention. Therefore, stringent ambient air odor level requirements are being implemented worldwide which the conventional treatment technologies (such as scrubbers, conventional biofilters) are often unable to achieve.

In order to overcome these limitations, high capacity odor reduction technologies have been developed (such as Advanced Biofilters or Thermal Oxidation), which are already working in different real applications. In this work, the performance of 4 Advanced Biofilters treating COV and odor emissions has been evaluated.

ilc 2016 olfasense   The Interlaboratory Comparison for Olfactometry (ILC) based on EN 13725:2003 has been announced for 2016 and the company Olfasense is behind the organization. The proficiency tests allow laboratories to demonstrate compliance with its performace requirements and compare the performance of their laboratory internationally.

This proficiency test allows laboratories to demonstrate compliance with its performace requirements and compare the performance of their laboratory internationally. The participation in Proficiency Testing (PT) for laboratories accredited to ISO17025 is not facultative. In addition, it is a nice exercise to have more information about the performance of your lab.
